Fun with Featured, plus Vampires
Yesterday’s post was getting a lot of views and comments, so I left it up overnight.
We have another post going up at noon and another a few hours later… one of them is about vampires. I am surrounded by people who love vampires. A friend of mine is obsessed with vampires, and gave my wife an audiobook of Twilight. Then before you know it, my wife had bought all four books in the Twilight series… and was watching True Blood too. Then they all went to see Twilight on opening night. Thank god Halloween just passed, or we’d all be going as vampires this year.
I guess you could say I am racist against vampires. Is that wrong of me? But I mean, they suck people’s blood through their teeth! That’s pretty gross, and unsanitary too. Plus they have an infectious disease that causes humans to die and then come back to life wearing all black clothes (like emo Spidey in Spider-Man, but immortal). I think my racism is well deserved — but all racists probably think that.
I guess what I am saying is that if anyone has a good anti-vampire post… I would love to feature it. Or if you have any other posts you think would be good for the frontpage, please add the link here! I’m also looking for a nice post about Thanksgiving that isn’t too cheeseball… lemme know if you’ve seen anything along those lines.
Happy Turkey Day!

For a momment I thought you said “felt it up overnight”
That disturbed me a little
I’m, you know, okay with never hearing about Twilight again. Ever again.
@benevolentMitch - just a little?
I’ve never been a racist in any respect. I cannot imagine becoming what I totally abhor.
My goodness. Racist against the undead!
@notforprophet - Better watch out for Nietsche then.
@notforprophet - I can’t tell if you’re chastising me or not. I am kidding about being racist against vampires. I don’t actually believe vampires exist.
@john - Nothing wrong with a little racism. I try to find people I can treat differently based totally on their skin color.
Why oh why would you even hate vampires.
@john - Oh, they exist. Otherwise I’ve made some big mistakes and hurt the wrong people.
Happy Turkey Day…….hugs.
I think the whole twilight thing is a bit ridiculous even though I did like the books. It’s definitely been way to over exaggerated.
But I still love vampires.

Try these.
Happy turkey day.
Hee hee. This made me giggle.
Happy Thanksgiving, John!
you all should be thankful for me!
My Thanksgiving post was cheeseball? j/k
Just wait till Christmas…
My last vampire encounter was many years ago in New Orleans. I was in line at a convenience store behind an Anne Rice groupie in full vampire regalia. It was buying diapers. I was like, wow you’re really scary there with your pampers, Nosferatu.
It’s hard not to find cheeseball… adn you know, sometimes I’m all about cheeseball. Hope you find what your looking for.
As for vampires… I can feel the hate rolling off your blog. ;-b
I have never read the “Twilight” books or books if they are a series. I always like to read the book before I watch the movie. I found that necessary because the Jurassic Park books were way better than the movies. I guess I may be missing out on something so I better get the book huh?
I heard Twilight the movie was poo!
Actually vampires use the teeth to tear the skin open. They suck with their lips and drink it through their mouths, like sucking juice out of an orange.
The only good vampires are the evil bloodthirsty ones that will kill a person. These namby-pamby emo vaginas are NOT real vampires.
What’s a vampires favorite holiday – fangsgiving
@pedrothepoet - I hate you.
Heh… good one.
Dude, you should watch the last south park episode about vampires vs. goths. You’d appreciate it.
Ah I soo love Twilight and True Blood too! I am reading all the True Blood books now!
@supanamja - I want to see that. I love south park.
haha..yeah they dont exist. just in the imagination. oh, and in the movies.
LOL, nothing too cheeseball with my Thanksgiving posts … yesterday’s was actually mildly depressing. Ugh.
If I spoofed the movie in a review, would that get featured?
if you think all vampires wear gothic black clothes, have fangs, nocturnal, stakeable, scared of garlics and burst into flames the sunlight, then you realllly don’t know much about vampires at all.
oh, and your throbbing vein looks so biteable.
@reckless_eagle - my throbbing vein?
I love vampires! But not the wimpy Twilight kind. The vampires of my generation were Spike and Angel… and the whole clan from the Order of Aurelius. My vampire hero is Joss Whedon. I was too young for Anne Rice and am now too old for Stephenie Meyer. *sigh*… but I like where I am. =D
Stop being a hater.
Vampires are sexxxxy.
“I like CSI but I can’t stand CSI Miami” LOL. I almost squealed when I saw that blogring. Vegas is one of my favorite shows, Miami is just so overdone, from the color saturation to the drama. And don’t even get me started on the characters. D:
@reckless_eagle - That sounds so very wrong. I only have visible throbbing veins on one part of my body.
Sorry John… I like vampire stories as well. =X
-ray leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
John I hope you had a great thanksgiving.

“they suck people’s blood through their teeth.” This is a popular misconception. However, vampires–according to the legend–use their teeth to break the skin, and then once they’ve done that, they feed on the blood. They don’t suck blood through their teeth, but this is an interesting idea nonetheless.
Anyhow. I was wondering what happened to the featured photo section on the front page. Are you guys not doing that anymore? Are you just focusing on blogs now?
Oh okay, anti-vampire. Not anti-twilight?
