• READING BLOGS ON XANGA

How do you keep up with blogs on Xanga?

    • Email Subscriptions?

    • Sites I Read?

    • Subscription Browser?

    • Bookmarks/Favorites?

    • Type in the URLs by hand?

  • I have a few Email-subs of good friends, and the rest I read through SIR. I find it easier to keep track of where I’ve been, etc.

  • I use my SIR, and when I have time, I cruise the blogrings. Sometimes if I’m really behind, I use the browser in case I’ve missed stuff.

  • All but bookmarks and favorites. Order of priority:

    1. SIR
    2. Email
    3. Subscription Digest
    4. URL (because there are one or two I really like to read often and always check…)

  • …all except ‘bookmarks/favourites’. MuSe

  • I have a few favourites that I read via email and use the SIR for the rest.

  • 1. Those that really matter, email immediat.
    2. Sites I read
    3. My Readers

  • Email Subscriptions for all

I use my SIR when I want to visit all my blog list…..

  • I use email for the ones I want to be sure to read. I try to get around to those who have commented next. Then I use the subscription browser (I really like it), and then the SIR list. I don’t get around nearly as often as I want to, though. My priority is to try to post most every day. If there is any time left, then I browse around xanga a bit.

  • Email subscriptions and SIR

  • SIR, mostly.

  • Mostly my SIR page, and I use the subscription browser when I want to make sure I get around to everybody.

  •
Email Subscriptions

Sites I Read

  • I prefer email because if there are photos posted I can see them.

  • SIR. Sometimes, sub browser.

  • The SIR, I go and see who has updated recently… otherwise I just go thru my sites at random.

  • I use the SIR list mostly, along with a bookmark keyword in Mozilla that makes it easy to go to any site. And soon I’ll be receiving IM notification when someone on my SIR list updates their site

  • The SIR

  • SIR and blogrings; the latter only when I have time. Sometimes, when pressed, I’ll just browse those who responded to me.

  • online only. I don’t have time to sort through all that email.

  • I use the first three….. Subscription Browser the most…..with it I literally zip around Xanga. I also visit new sites from the comments, and use the search thingy for those I still read, rarely comment on and am not subscribed to.

  • I do have an email which contains the latest updates from the sites I’m subscribed to,but don’t use it anymore. Now I just check the SIR,and try to remember to use the subscription browser because it’s very handy.

  • Back again, having just read your previous post.Protected Posting is a brilliant idea – I’ve had times when I wanted to say something which I suspected would offend some,or where I wanted to say something to a few without having to deal with the rest.More importantly,it would allow me to feel safe about posting my picture. As it as I have had to send it as a file to friends on IM,but being able to take pics and just post them on Xanga, choosing who could see them would be great.

  • Back for the third time – I just thought of something else.Would it be possible to apply protected posting retroactively;ie to select who you wanted your old posts to be readable by?It strikes me that my Xanga would be a great way to keep up with some physically far-away relatives, but since I have blogged in the past about issues with other relatives,I wouldn’t want the ones I might give my site address to to be able to see the old stuff…

  • And sometimes my blogring.

  • All but the sub browser.

  • Sirs

    Emails

    and then Url’s.

  • NOTE TO SELF: Take care of Xanga lifetime Subscription winners.

  • SIR, i used to check the subscription, but SIR saves more time.
