  • International Xanga MEETUP Day

    Have you signed up yet?

The first one is in 18 days, on Wednesday, November 6 @ 7:00PM.  Monsur and I will probably stop by the NYC meetup, so check it if you’re in town!

p.s. so far, 373 people have signed up, with 29 of those from or near NYC!  I knew we had a lot of bloggers in the boroughs, but even I’d be surprised if they make up 8% of Xanga!

  • TOTALLY but I am the only one in my area so far…. ….Great idea….I will promptly write it on the royal calendar and make sure I don’t forget!!!

  • i’m planning to host one here. great idea!

  • I signed up, because I have a morbid sense of curiosity related to the fact that my area is not conducive to meet-ups like this. Much too sprawling, and there’s no mass transit.

    Still, it’s the thought, right?

  • So sorry you were mugged…

  • Good luck with that meet n’ greet. Sounds cool. One of these times, I’ll check it out.

Hey, I wanted to thank you for making the blocking feature available to all. I think it’s a great thing to do because I can’t think of any other blogger hosts that even do that. Mayhaps it will lead to more subscribers, eh?

At any rate, thanks and another thanks for the recent new features.

  • yeah i’ll prolly do that … the brisbane one in australia haha … but yeh … you play piano … so do i

  • Hell, dude, NYC is getting the biggest turnout cause they all want to me you!

  • steve – if your theory is correct, then cleveland should be our largest meetup!

  • I wish I could go to the one near me. But my mom says that it’s too risky or whatever. I don’t get it. I think most people on Xanga seem nice enough. And the majority of the people near me know me anyway!! BTW – I WANT A XANGA SHIRT!

  • Wow, I really hope Xanga Meetup takes hold; it seems like such a wonderful way to meet the people you read (at least locally).

  • What the hell’s in Cleavland other than hairy backs and grave diggers?

I checked the choices for a town near me. I won’t go on Charles st. in Toronto after dark and the other places… well. Naw. Can’t do it.

It’d be cool to say hey and hydie ho. If any of you are ever in my neck of the woods, drop by and bring beer…….. Women if ya have em. If ya don’t then bring mo beer.

Wishing you all well on your connections.

  • hey.. aww man! i wanna go too!! too bad i go to stony brook and really cant make it on those wednesdays… have you ever thought about creating one on a weekend or something?? I’d be glad to host one in the downtown area.. maybe battery park city or something….

ooooh by the way… I started the SUNY Stony Brook Blogring… i was really wondering… would you be able to make it so i can either email all of them at once or just make a general comment to all of them saying that theres so and so event going on in stony brook during a certain time?? you know?? since we’re all bounded by the same school… why not have them meet up and join events the school is having… thanks alot
