Knocked Up
I’m getting Knocked Up tonight… pretty excited about it. It got a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes! Someone said it was an instant classic… a modern day “When Harry Met Sally”.
I hope it was better than Pirates 3. I did not understand what was going on in that movie at all. It’s like it was an IQ test that I failed.

I saw a pre-screening of Knocked Up a few weeks ago – I agree, an instant classic, in the same vein as 40 Year Old Virgin (but even funnier and more substantial). I’ve caught myself making references to this movie ever since I saw it, but nobody else gets them…for example, there’s been a pink eye epidemic in my school lately, which is really a great opportunity for fart/stripper references if you’ve seen the movie.

Apparently when you make two successful, original movies, it gives you the license to make a third movie that seems to have no cohesive plot, merely a panorama of gorgeous scenes and one-liners.
From what I’ve heard about Knocked Up’s geek factor though, it should be a very good movie! I look forward to your personal review!
ooh i saw the screening a coupla weeks ago. the movie was HILARIOUS
Man I felt exactly the same in Pirates 3. I actually left angry, which doesn’t happen for me in movies often.

I understood Pirates 3! I liked it.
I WILL admit though that it tried to cram too much info and such. Some of the lore could have been expanded on, such as the significance of the song being sung. I also think the whole thing with the pieces of eight was unnecessary – that is, they had actual pieces at the beginning that turned out not to be those pieces at all – it was misleading, and all for that one little joke about the “pieces of whatever junk we had on us at the time”. They should have kept that simple and stuck with pieces of eight.
I LOVE Rotten Tomatoes!!! That’s seriously like the best movie and game site EVER!!
