• NEW LOOK AND FEEL SETTINGS

  
  

  Due to popular demand, we’ve added five new options to your Look and Feel Settings:

  
  

  
  
  • Make your Left Modules Transparent
    
  • Text Align your Left Modules
    
  • Hide your Hidable Search Bar
    
  • Add Background Images without knowing HTML
    
  • Add Music without knowing HTML

  • MAKE YOUR LEFT MODULES TRANSPARENT
    
    
    
    • We’ve added a new option to the Interioir option for Left Modules, called Transparent (as in, it’s a transparent attempt by us to make you happy).
      
    • It will automagically turn your Left Modules transparent.
      
    • We’ve also added the ability to make the border to your modules Transparent (i.e., make the borders disappear)
      
      
    
    
  • TEXT ALIGN YOUR LEFT MODULES
  
  
  
  
  • While we were add it, we added the ability to easily align your the Title or Body text of your Modules.
    
  • We did this based on popular demand.  When I tested the feature, I discovered that I actually love it!  So all my module text is now right-aligned, unless you are on the Mac.  That’s because we hate Macs and will never ever support them. (That’s a joke – we love Macs).
    
    
  
  
  • HIDABLE SEARCH BAR
    
    
    
    • We added a simple new option:
      
      
      
      • “Show Search Bar?  [ ] Yes  [ ]  No”
        
        
    
    
  • ADD BACKGROUND IMAGES WITHOUT KNOWING HTML
    
    
    
    • Monsur wrote this Background Image action a few months ago, and we rolled it out to Premium users.
      
    • Now we’re offering it to everyone, for the low low price of…  nothing.  It’s free to everyone using Xanga Classic.
      
    • Here’s how it works: you just paste in the URL of your image.. then you select whether you want the background to be Fixed (no scrolling), how you want it to repeat (horizantally, vertically, etc.), and where you want it on the page (Centered, starting in the Top Left corner, etc.)
      
    • When we revise this page soon, we’ll add the ability for Premium members to upload the image straight from this page.
      
      
    
    
  • ADD MUSIC WITHOUT KNOWING HTML
    
    
    
    • We get an extraordinary amount of email from people asking us how to add music to their Xanga Sites
      
    • Personally speaking, music on Xanga drives me insane.  However our Users have Spoken, and we have made it easier to do.
      
    • Just stick the URL of the MP3 or MIDI file you’d like into your Look and Feel settings, and check off whether you want it to Loop or not.
      
    • At first we felt a touch guilty about making it even easier to put music on Xanga sites.  But then we realized: if people use these options to put Music on their sites, then we can (eventually) create a feature which makes it possible for users to turn off music when they’re browsing Xanga.

  • CUSTOM MODULES MOVED 
    
    
    
    • We moved the Custom Module (where Premium members can put the left module text) a bit down the Look and Feel page.  It’s on the bottom now.
      
      
    
    
  • TRUSTED JAVASCRIPT SITES ARE PENDING
    
    
    
    • We finalized the list of Javascript sites, and will roll this out with our next release.
