READING BLOGS ON XANGA, PART DEAUX
Wow, lots of people use our Site I Read feature!
And based on past feedback, it sounds like dial-up users love the Email Subscriptions feature – since it’s the fastest way to read the posts and see the images, all at the same time.
Thanks for the feedback!
I’ve been thinking a lot about how to make Xanga better for readers. We spend so much time adding features for writers, but for every writer there’s probably at least ten readers.
Another question for you: how many blogs do you read outside of Xanga?
And how do you keep up with those non-Xanga blogs?
- A blogroll in your custom module?
- Bookmarks?
- Typing them in?

i dont have many non xanga blogs to read, i added them to the bottom of my blogroll, so just visit them everytime.. kinda a pain…, perhaps i should add them to custom module too
…i use bookmarks.

Now, I use bookmarks for non-Xangan blogs.
Read outside of Xagna….What?? There are other places out there ???
I love it here..and I find the others to be really hard to navigate…but that is me personally….I guess I am just partial to Xanga for it’s user friendlyness…(word??)
You guys are wonderful as always….
(That is kissing up by the way just in case you hadn’t noticed john!!! LOL)

Once in awhile I’ll do a search on Google
for other weblogs. When I find some that I enjoy, I add them to my favorites.
When another site is linked in a blog I bookmark it, though I rarely go back after that….. I read Xanga exclusively.
I have about 15 blogs I read outside of Xanga and use bookmarks.
I use a blogroll (which I wish showed up on my private xanga page). That would be ideal.
I read only a few non-Xanga blogs and use bookmarks.
I have subscribed to a few blogs (like Microcontent News) that are not on xanga… so they are emailed to me. I have a few blog-type sites bookmarked, too. Google helps me find any new stuff.
You mean there are blogs out there that are un-Xangan? scary.
do you mean part DEUX?
Syndication… give us the ability to use external RSS feeds in place of the Moreover news module! And RSS URL’s for our own sites! Man, that would rock!
I have bookmarks for my live journal
