Do you ever comment on someone’s protected post… and then later on, they make the post public? And then you get really embarrassed, because you never intended that comment to be public?
I’ve done it before, but now I am more careful about my comments. I assume they are all public – I mean, who actually knows how many people a person allows to see their protected posts. Right?

i actually haven’t done that, but you’ve just given me a great idea for a temporary private entry:
“Just between you and me, whose Xanga site do you hate the most?”

When I make a post protected…I like to keep it that way.
In regards to posting on other people’s protected?
Haven’t really had the opportunity.
It’s the reversed actually, but I didn’t intend for the post to be public but forgot to click on the “Private” or “Protected” option when I was so “angry” during the rant and that unleashed another headache. But I have learned from that so most of my public posts are now just random or having nothing to do with people Online or have Online access.

I don’t really know anyone who switches entries from private to public – normally -for me, anyway – it’s the other way around.
I figure, if you don’t want something you say to reach another person, don’t say it! Especially on the web. X D
maybe people do that SO you get embarrassed. haha In another word, people never meant to make it public, but make it public after you comment for the sake of embarrassing you

I always figure that whatever I put online can be seen by anyone with a hacker’s knowledge. Thus, I plan my way out of embarrassing myself.
RYC: Actually, I think it was more my internet having a spasm. I went to hit submit and it started advancing on it’s own and then…poof. Oh well, I didn’t write a novel or anything.

i really really hate that, so i usually make it clear in my comment that “i’m glad this is protected…” or i say “i only say this cuz this is protected”… OR i msg them instead. cuz you never know who’s on someone’s protected list or who might be added and later see that comment. paranoid much? YES but it works in my favor so nyah

You mean like that comment I made about how I was running around the mall with my hair on fire after I accidently tripped into an open-air display of butane lighters, naturally catching my freshly hairsprayed head on fire and so I ran from one end of the mall to the other in hopes of putting myself out on the fountain but instead opted to dunk my head in the Dippin’ Dots ice cream booth to put my head out, thus forcing me to wear a wig?

I love xanga, its my outlet to keep me sain. I don’t care if you view my page, cause I have friends lock, and if you actually take the time to requests me I will confirm you. But I write REALLY personal stuff on here because I like to write, I like to express myself and if you can’t deeal with it go to hell.. well thats my philosophy..lol
