  • Night Owl

These days, I wake up at 7 am and work during the day.  But man, I get so much more done at night!  It’s a crying shame that the business world runs during the day…

  • Me, too. I would love the whole world to be night owls, like I am.

  • me too. like someone once said, “If God meant for me to see the sun rise, He would make it happen at noon.”

  • Same with me. No distraction at night.

  • i’m feeling you. :)

  • I hear ya.  I’m way more productive at night.

Hell, if it wasn’t for the fact that people are sleeping in my house right now, I’d be drumming and working on music for my band right now.

  • maximum efficiency for me starts after 5pm when people start to leave work and i get the bandwidth all to myself.

  • I have always wondered what could be accomplished if organizations just stayed open later.  So much of the time I look over and it is 5:00 and I realize that there are so many things that can’t be done.

  • isn’t that the truth…

  • I agree… I’m a Zombie every morning. And around 7pm.. that’s when I get going. It’s a shame the world works this way…

  • time to work with some euros?

  • I heard that!

  • I can shift between being a night owl or early bird..but productivity comes if i’m inspired in the first place :)

  • lol.  welcome to the rest of the world.

    -ray leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • if only we had the control to work on our own time provided we just get stuff done… whats the point of having offices at all?!?!

  • Okay, a prime example of something that was said above about productivity coming and going with inspiration…

I just made that in the last hour, and it’s currently morning here in Arkansas.

Also, I might have problems.  Just slightly, though.

  • Blah.  The .gif didn’t show up in my comment.

Anyway, here’s the link to what was supposed to show up:

  • Move to Europe and have a Wall Street job. My husband used to be on the phone at midnight, 2 a.m. back in the day, when we’d be on vacation or whatever.

  • I agree the world should adapt, to us night owls. Mornings BAH!

    hugs

  • I agree. I’m so much more productive at night.

  • hehe, i used to think i was more productive at night. but i’ve slowly discovered that waking up early can get lots more done too. so now i’m on the brackets — morning and nights are for working. i’ll sleep in the afternoons.

  • I’m a night owl too.  Nowadays I almost never go to bed before 1am, and my average bedtime is 2.

  • i too have always thought. well the world in general. if was all to be pushed back to the evening, a drop in crime would happen also, at least i think so. reason being, everyohe would be awake at night, so criminals would be less inclined to do there business then. then the day time, it would be awfully ballsy to do it in broad day light.. yep yep

  • i’m on africa time. i’ve never been to africa.

  • I use to do everything at night. Years ago I switched to daylight hours and still never feel quite right.

  • If you get up at 3 you’ll get TONS done!

  • Maybe you could switch to the grave yard shift some where. Then you would find how you couldn’t do anything during the day because you have to sleep.

  • Everyone has their own sleep cycle when they are most productive.  I find sleeping between 2a-10a makes for the most refreshed, active, and accurate me.  So I feel your pain.  Perhaps you could split your sleep cycle:  work your business hours, sleep four hours, get up and do your own stuff, sleep for four hours, and repeat.

  • I have recently changed my hours to the night. No regrets, I dont miss much of the daylight animals…

  • I used to think the same thing daily, but then I got a “real” job. Even though I like to stay up late, I just can’t stay awake much past 0100 and be any good for the next day. Of course, with “real” jobs, you never really work, do you?

P.S. I hope that Xanga for Life doesn’t go away any time soon. I just renewed my subscription right before the feature was brought back and have this terrible feeling that it will be gone when it comes time for me to do so again. *black cloud*

  • It’s so good for Xanga to be back! It was funny – I was getting email from xangans asking me if I was seeing the strange problems before I even knew there was a problem.

What is the best way to report these sorts of problems?

  • I just went to Africa and was perfectly fine with the 6 hour time change. I actually woke up at a normal hour. Haha.

    Then I came home…bleh.
