  • Nintendo Wii promo

    A quick head’s up on a week-long promo we’re running with Nintendo Wii.

    As you may or may not be aware, the Nintendo Wii is coming out next week. 

    So for the next week, we’ll have a Wii icon next to the comment
    pics.  If you click on the Wii, you’ll be able to visit their
    website and check out the specs of the new system.  It uses a new
    “revolutionary” controller that’s motion sensitive, so you can just
    wave your arms and the game will automagically sense it.  I’m
    pretty excited ot try out Nintendo Tennis at the office!

    As before with our earlier Sprite Dunkface promo, we’ve asked Wii to agree to a few conditions:

    • The Wii icons will ONLY appear on classic users’ pages (Premium and Plus users’ pages continue to be ad-free)
    • Classic users can hide the icons with one click, by hiding the profile pics next to your comments
    • If you want to hide the Wii icons but still show your profile pics, just install this CSS code in your Look and Feel.

    So to summarize: the Wii promo starts today, runs for a week, and there
    are several ways to opt out. If the week goes by too slowly, you could
    try cryogenically freezing yourself to make the time go faster?   Just watch out for the Sea Otters!  (I hope I am not the only person who watches South Park).

I know nothing about javascript so… yeah… I know about enough to figure out that’s what made the cursor do that little magic trick and turn into a wiimote… how amazingly AWESOME! once… somebody… tells me how to do this It’ll be my cursor on my page… FOREVAH!

  • The Wii looks amazing, and Nintendo, I think, was the only one who made a real next gen. modle. PS3 and Xbox 360 are basically the same thing with better graphics. Nintendo revolutionized game play… it rocks.
